The LFLA Philosophy


Hello and thank you for visiting the Level Fitness LA website.

As a NASM certified personal trainer and nutrition counselor, health and fitness are central to my life. But not the sole focus of my life. Responsibilities and obligations around work, family and the other countless tasks necessary to keep life running smoothly demand our time and attention. The last thing most people want to do in the hour or two of “me time” that they have once the day is done and the kids are in bed is work out. That nightly session on the couch scrolling social media or bingeing our latest favorite show while we effectively shut off our brain becomes the highlight of our day. I’ve been there and I get it.

The good news is that you can still have it! Maintaining good health doesn’t require depriving yourself of all the things you enjoy. All that is needed is the willingness to gradually swap out a few current habits around food choices and time management that do not serve you and replace them with some new healthier ones. The key to creating these new habits lies in finding the right balance for your individual lifestyle; your schedule; your goals.

Level Fitness LA was founded on the belief that there is an ideal ‘level’ of health and fitness for everyone. A point on the spectrum of health that reflects your personal goals and life philosophy. It might be six pack abs and single digit body fat percentage. It might be doing what is required to keep certain physiological markers in check like blood pressure or diabetes. Maybe you just want to move better and have energy for daily life activities like carrying groceries and playing with your kids. The physical, mental and emotional benefits of regular exercise and healthy diet are undeniable and are available to almost everyone with a little planning and effort. I promise it’s not as scary as you think!

I was inspired to enter the fitness industry not just to spread the gospel about the life changing benefits of a healthy diet and regular exercise, but also because I know there are so many among us who are desperate to make a change but simply lack the belief in themselves and the knowledge to find their way to that first step. I’ve heard the frustration and sense of defeat in people’s voices when discussing better health and why they can’t seem to get the ball rolling on making some healthier lifestyle choices. In our modern digital age, there is so much information available on the topic that it very often leads to overwhelm and shutdown.

I’m here to help you navigate through all of that noise and simplify this seemingly complex topic. No finger wagging. No judgement. Just a solid plan built around your goals and lifestyle plus some guidance and encouragement.

Good health doesn’t have to be complicated. It doesn’t have to be only for people who have the time and desire to spend hours in the gym each day and subsist on salads, steamed broccoli and grilled chicken breast. It simply requires a desire to make the necessary changes required to prioritize good health. Then a commitment to work toward that goal one step at a time, day after day.
